This homemade vinaigrette contains no added sugars and is a tangy blend of earthy cumin and sweet, citrusy lime. Plus, it takes less than 5 minutes to prepare!

Why I Love This Recipe

An easy vinaigrette to make, this recipe uses ingredients you likely have on hand: olive oil, white wine vinegar, limes, cumin, and salt. We like to use this on side salads during Mexican themed dinners. It's also delicious drizzled over carnitas or burrito bowls.

Think salad dressing is limited to salads? No way! Cumin Lime Vinaigrette is also delicious as a marinade for chicken, pork, or fish.

Cumin Lime Vinaigrette contains no added sugar and is vegan, paleo, Whole30, and keto friendly! While most fruits are high in sugar and not appropriate for a keto diet, limes are an exception.

Storage Tips

Since Cumin Lime Vinaigrette doesn’t have fresh herbs or fresh garlic, it’s shelf life is a little extended. You can store this vinaigrette for about 5 days covered at room temperature. Or you can store it in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. These are the salad dressing bottles I typically use.

If the oil solidifies in the refrigerator, hold it under hot running water for a couple minutes. Or you could sit it in a bowl or glass measuring cup filled with warm water. Give it a good shake before serving.

Make sure you shake this salad dressing well before every use. This helps recombine the vinegar, oil, and spices that like to separate while it sits undisturbed.
