Over the past few years, I’ve been struck by the Lord’s blessing over His people in Numbers. It is spoken after He gives the national and spiritual laws to the Israelites. What a beautiful display of God’s heart for His people. His heart to protect us, delight in us, bring His presence near to us, extend us His grace, and bring us peace. Let these truths sink into your heart and mind as you pray this blessing over yourself and your loved ones today.
Numbers 6:22-27
The Lord said to Moses, “Tell Aaron and his sons, ‘This is how you are to bless the Israelites. Say to them:
The Lord bless you and keep you; the LORD make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the LORD turn his face toward you and give you peace.’
So they will put my name on the Israelites, and I will bless them."
I felt so uplifted when the Church we attend prayed this blessing over all the people several years ago. Afterward the pastor challenged us to write and pray blessings over those whom God puts on our hearts. Thus, the Spiritual Blessing portion of this site was born. I believe and have experienced the power, hope, and freedom in God’s Word.
